Singlewell Primary School
Science Week 2024
Over the past week, the children have all been taking part in various Science activities. On Monday, we welcomed in Science Boffin Dave! He gave us all an exciting show demonstrating different elements of Science and wowing us with explosions, flashing lights and cool tricks!
“The Science Boffins were amazing because they did awesome experiments and illusions.”
The children all spent the week visiting our resident ducklings! They arrived at school as eggs, and as the week went on, the children saw them hatching and growing!
“The ducklings were so cute, fluffy and bright yellow! I loved holding them.”
We were also lucky enough to have been able to welcome Southern Water to school to give us an assembly on water conservation, recycling water and how was can all make small positive changes to help.
“It was really good to learn about how save water so that I can do more at home.”
The children took part in a range of Science activities with the focus of ‘time’ in school. Children took part in investigations including looking at reaction times, water clocks, pendulums and sundials.
“The water clocks were really cool because they could actually tell the time.”
